About This Topic

The university as an institution sits at the center of numerous academic disciplines, making it a productive subject for essays in education, business, law, public policy, and the social sciences. Students write about universities to examine how higher education functions as an organizational, social, and legal environment. Topics range from admissions policy and civil rights—as seen in cases like Grutter v. Bollinger—to the business structures that govern institutions like the University of Phoenix and its parent company, the Apollo Group. The university setting also raises questions about community, intercultural contact, and the ways students and faculty navigate shared academic life.

Papers on this topic take several distinct approaches. Some adopt a legal or policy analysis framework, examining court decisions that shape admissions and civil liberties on campuses. Others apply a business and strategic lens, producing organizational improvement plans, strategic plans, or intelligence consultant perspectives focused on university operations. A third strand is observational and qualitative, including classroom observations, faculty profile interviews, and studies of student perceptions of intercultural contact in multicultural university environments. Practical and technical angles also appear, covering topics like class scheduling software and support infrastructure.

A strong essay on this topic begins with a clearly scoped thesis that connects the university's structure or policies to a specific outcome or argument—avoid treating "university" as a backdrop rather than the actual subject of analysis. Evidence drawn from institutional data, legal records, organizational documents, or firsthand observation tends to carry the most weight. The most common pitfall is writing too broadly; grounding the argument in a particular institution, case, or context keeps the analysis focused and persuasive.

Rhetorical Analysis of Alexander the Great's Speech
This paper focuses on a speech given by Alexander the Great in 326 B.C. The argument that Alexander chose to use was very persuasive to his intended audience. One of the greatest strengths of the argument was that Alexander highlighted the past accomplishments of the men as a means of quelling any concerns that they would fail in their future endeavors. He also uses a very grandiose and broad vision to help inspire the men, talking about taking over all of Asia and then using that example in contrast to simply staying home and protecting the home front. However, the argument also had its weaknesses. In some locations Alexander speaks about them being welcomed by the people in distant lands, but he also discusses forcing nations into submission, making one question which part of the argument is true. Taken as a whole, the argument was a persuasive one, which is revealed, not only by the text of the argument, but by the historical fact that it did inspire his men to continue into Asia.

Rosie the Riveter \"Over 6
Rosie the Riveter "Over 6 million women who had never worked for wages before took jobs, married women's labor force participation doubled, and unions gained 2.2 million women in a matter of 4 years. Not all of this was achieved without resistance, however. At the outset, most male managers were reluctant to employ women in all aspects of the defense industry, citing…‘the lack of adequate toilet facilities' as an excuse for not hiring women" (Barker-Benfield, et al, 1998) Introduction After the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, the United States declared war on Japan and the country launched a massive war effort – sending millions of men to military training camps and building factories to produce planes, tanks, military vehicles, ships, and weapons. As a result of men leaving their jobs there was a need for women to take the places of the men who had to fight the war. This paper delves into the jobs those women were assigned to, including the women who worked in factories in and around Paterson, New Jersey. This paper also focuses on other issues related to women and the war effort at home during World War II.

Marketing plan for In-N-Out Burger
In-N-Out Burger (In-N-Out) is quick service food restaurant chain operator based in the United States. The company was established in the year 1948 by Harry and Esther Snyder. The restaurant fills a void in the restaurant industry between low end fast food and a complete sit down meal by making food from scratch and providing excellent customer comfort and care. However, it does not have tremendous market saturation, so that while it is ranked among the top 50 quick service restaurants, it is number 45 on that list (Oches, 2011). The company also owns and operates a patty making facility in California. In addition, the company provides catering services to various events like parties, corporate picnics and other custom events in its own mobile units including vans. In-N-Out Burger started as a mom-and-pop operation and slowly grew with, at its core, a very strong and committed client base. Furthermore, it has done so by separating itself from its competition. In-N-Out Burger is not a traditional fast-food chain, though it is certainly a quick-service restaurant, and it also defies the pattern of even the most casual sit-down establishment.
