On this front, I was instrumental in the identification of an existing opportunity for the company to further enhance its revenues through the sale of Bath Products. Like it has been the case with my previous accomplishments, this particular event also presented me with a valuable learning opportunity. L. Jones

Real estate is an exciting, complex, and demanding field of study. Although many work in real estate, to undertake its study as a discipline requires a real love for the industry. That, I have in spades. However, like anyone who truly enjoys a particular area of study, my previous experience in the industry has only fueled my desire to learn more. It is through my admittance and completion of the aster's of Real Estate program that I hope to reach that goal.

y most recent experience in real estate was a position that I held from July, 2001, to February, 2004. My work at J&T also gave me extensive operations experience, including acting as a Senior Analyst in the company's $100 million recapitalization transaction, developing and implementing ancillary revenue initiatives to increase overall funds from operations.

Before J&T, I also worked for Chateau Communities in Denver, during the fall of 2000. There, I assisted in the creation of a disposition decision matrix to identify under-performing assets for potential sale, and conducted resident profile research to develop a resident retention program.

In short, my experience has given me an intense interest and love of the industry that I hope to refine through the Master's of Real Estate program. Although I believe that experience is one of the best ways to learn the "ins and outs" of a particular industry, I believe there are aspects of real estate in specific that lends itself to intense academic study.

Pages: 1 Words: 399

Personal Statement
While any profession in the field of healing is doubtlessly a noble and worthy one, there are few of these that offer the combination of technical expertise and human interaction that dentistry does. Although dentists are often professionals that are the subject of comedy in terms of being secondary to "real doctors," I believe that this profession does not nearly receive all the credit that it deserves. Few people who do not practice this profession in some way understand the rigors, years of study, and commitment it requires to be a good dentist. In addition to the amount of technical and biological knowledge required to be excellent at this profession, dentists are often also required to have a particularly excellent knowledge of human psychology and interaction to be good at their work. It is this combination that particularly attracts me to dentistry rather than any other profession in the…...

Personal Statement: Why I want to study law
Ever since I was a young child, I have always wanted to study the law. Documents that have protected people's rights throughout the ages such as the United States Constitution and the Magna Carta seemed to me as sacred as the Bible. I always had an innate sense of justice and 'fairness.' I enjoy arguing and have never had any problems standing up for my rights in conversation or in life. I love to study politics, writing, economics, and other fields that are very pertinent to the study of law. I love the problem-solving and negotiating aspects of the legal profession, just as much as I am interested in its argumentative aspects.

I have a naturally ambitious and risk-taking temperament that I believe is well-suited to the practice of law. I enjoy traveling and have taken every opportunity life has offered me to do…...

Becoming a physician's assistant was not an easy decision. I knew that the work would cut into my social life and take up most of my free time. I knew that I would have many sleepless nights as I balanced my studies with my job. However, the more I delved into the actual work of being a physician's assistant, the more I wanted to succeed.
My accomplishments pale in comparison with the heroes with whom I work. In fact, I would not have been able to help that women recover from her fall had it not been for the mentors and teachers in my life. In 2003, during my junior year of high school, I returned to China because my father had died of lung cancer. Although grief stricken and disappointed that I had not been able to be with my father while growing up in the United States, I learned to be strong to overcome my fears and problems. To cope with this experience, I developed an inner strength that made me believe that I could live through anything.

When I was ready to return home I was told that my passport was not valid and that I would need to obtain a new one before I could come back to the United States. By the time I was finally back in the United States, it was too late for me to begin the second semester of school. For this reason, I was not able to graduate from high school even though I had good grades. Discovering that I would have to wait for another year to continue attending high school and because the private school I was attending cost a lot of money, I made the decision to attend a community college.

Although I would have preferred to finish high school, my decision to attend community college has proven to be a good one. I have excelled academically and socially. Recently, in June 2005, I received a qualification letter for the honors program at Mount San Antonio College. And, I have received a qualification letter from the Alpha Omega Alpha Academic committee in October, 2005. I just joined the Phi Theta Kappa organization in November, a group granting acceptance based on strong academics. Now, I am ready to take the next steps in my educational pursuits and hope that the University of California will favorably view my application.

Personal Statement I Have Always Admired People
Pages: 4 Words: 1142

Personal Statement
I have always admired people like Bill Gates and Michael Dell who started their own businesses while still in college, with hardly any startup money. They poured everything they had, and even neglected their studies, into a creative business venture. They relied on what they knew instinctually, in that case knowledge of computers, and also discovered a previously untapped market niche. I believe a lot of business sense is innate, much like the talent for art or music. Having witnessed the success of my parents in their entrepreneurial ventures in China in the oil and coal industries, I grew up surrounded by business and economics and subsequently inspired by it. I am no stranger to the world of business and economics. In fact, I take for granted a lot of what I learned from my parents simply by observing them interact with their customers or by helping out in…...

For instance, as the Project Engineer for KUDU Corporate, I was responsible for completing such tasks as negotiating with vendors, achieving optimization, and planning the completion of projects. In doing this, I had to carefully consider not only the financial and material aspect of the projects, but also the social and personnel aspects of these various projects. Through this, I learned that the art of dealing with people plays a major role in both the role of the construction/real-estate manager and the engineer. Although this is only one way in which the two are related, this experience opened my eyes as to the importance of cross-discipline study in the area of engineering.
Because my attitude is open and so closely aligned with the goals of this University, I am confident that I will make an excellent addition to your PhD program. My work in other areas of your university has…...

Pages: 1 Words: 334

I have seen, in all of my educational observations a variety of distinct but equally effective classroom styles. Good teachers set reasonable challenges for their students and customize the learning experience to each and every student's needs even within a busy classroom environment. Motivating students to try their best in the classroom and to apply what they learn to daily life, making every experience a learning experience -- these are the hallmarks of good teaching. I hope Teacher's College will provide me with the necessary philosophical and practical tools to become a part of the honored profession of teaching. I hope to learn to think more critically about the practice of teaching, to better enable my students to become more critical thinkers themselves, after they leave my care. I am eager to learn as a student, and to become a student once again to become a great teacher of the…...

I have a strong desire to contribute to the field of medical law, perhaps in malpractice, to ensure that physicians are held accountable. This is important to me, and I know that by the time I am admitted to the bar I may pursue a different path, but the important thing for me right now is that law gives me a tremendous sense of purpose.
I have proven myself in my pre-med studies, which now form the basis for my pre-law studies. Despite facing enormous challenges in dealing with my father's illness, I was able to maintain my strong academic focus. The hard work and dedication that I displayed during this time is indicative of the kind of person I am, the kind of law student that I will be and the kind of lawyer that I envision myself being.

You will doubtless be faced with an endless stream of applicants,…...

As I have already pointed out elsewhere in this text, while growing up, I had the opportunity of interacting with various health professionals, amongst them nurses. From these interactions, I became aware that the profession does have its challenges. I am hence under no illusion whatsoever that nursing calls for sacrifice. I am ready to sacrifice so as to enhance the well-being of those who need my care the most i.e. patients. My working at the Home Depot Store also played a critical role in the enhancement of my personality in terms of my ability to relate well with others. It is also during this time that I further sharpened my problem solving skills. Thus given an opportunity, I will be able to relate well with patients and their families while also handling problems appropriately. I am also convinced that my personality resonates well with nursing. My caring attitude,…...
