This paper is a series of discussion board posts. They are about the research process, with an emphasis on the discussion about source quality and a discussion about the structure and the role of the annotated bibliography. This is for a course in graduate level research building towards a doctoral thesis.

This paper looks at the finer points and general themes present throughout the text, "The Modern Preacher and the Ancient Text" by Sidney Greidanus. Greidanus uses this text effectively to demonstrate the needs of the average student and the areas of systematic focus that should be pursued. In a more meaningful way, Greidanus forges a strong connection between the separate areas of the Bible, demonstrating to the student that connection is everything in order to develop the most nuanced understanding.

The skills involved in consecutive interpreting are so precise that very few people have the talent or ability to carry out this kind of interpreting. This paper covers three main principles (and strategies) that author Roderick Jones has presented. The three are: Understanding, Analysis, and Re-Expression. Knowing these principles and understanding the strategies employed under each one is part of what this paper presents.

Neo-Confucionism was not simply a revitalization of the ancient teachings of Confucian in China. It emerged as a distinct response to what was considered a foreign ideology, that of Buddhism, which was increasingly popular but condemned by many officials. This paper is a critique of the book "Boundaries in Marriage" by Cloud and Townsend. The critique is written from a Christian perspective and examines the ten rules for establishing boundaries.
