The objective of this study is to address the promotion of health and decrease of risk in the community. This study will develop four competency statements based on national competencies and standards and develop five objectives for each competency statement. A course of study will be designed for one of the identified competencies using the GEM model for each new concept to be learned. One nursing case in which students will apply concepts of knowledge will be designed and two activities designed for each new concept in addition to reading the text that support competency-based education. Finally, at least one clinical experience will be designed that enables students to apply what they are learning.

This is a paper in criminal justice and looks specifically at various issues touching on the drug related crimes and drug use control. The paper looks at the scare tactic and how it works in controlling the use of drugs. It also looks at the zero tolerance policy in drug use control and discusses legalization of drugs as well.

This project consists of a "legal handbook" for educators in the Trenton, New Jersey, Public School District concerning the following issues (a) Academic freedom, (b).Freedom of association, (c) Freedom of expression, (d) Freedom of religion, (e) Employment rights and responsibilities and (f) hate crimes. Several peer-reviewed journal articles are used as well as seminal case law.

In this article, the seven single sex schools of Black and Latino males and the scenarios in which they fall has been discussed. The point of view of Black and Latinos male school system is also discussed in the same article to evaluate why this group is affecting other school systems. It will be evaluated and suggested how a system can be developed and established for black and Latino males.

This paper examines three ancient Greek civilizations: the Therans, the Mycenaeans, and the Minoans, from the perspective of a student in a distance learning course who has learned about the three civilizations through a series of prerecorded lectures. The paper consists of four exam-type questions. The questions focus on: the author's opinion of prerecorded lectures, the author's understanding of critical thinking, what most impressed the author about the course, and the basic differences in the three civilizations.
