Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative
This dissertation is based on Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI), which has been initiated in the later years of the twentieth century with the prime intention to reduce the unnecessary detention of the youth, eliminate racial and ethnic inequalities, and provide safe environment to the public. This is one of the effective programs designed and implemented as an answer to the long-term significant negative consequences of detention. This program has implemented over 100 jurisdictions all over the country.
