The problem of childhood obesity has become a crisis in America, as upwards of 17% of children from age 2 to 19 are now obese. The reasons for a child becoming obese are very clear: lack of exercise, eating fatty and high caloric foods from fast food franchises, and not having healthy fresh fruits and vegetables. The physical problems that are associated with childhood obesity are heart ailments and diabetes; and there are psychological problems as well.

This paper presents four essays dealing with civics and American history. The first traces the development of American foreign policy from 1940 to the present. The second looks at changes in quality of life for whites, African Americans, and women since the Civil War. The third looks at changes in the American economy from 1820-1865, and the fourth argues that Americans have seen improvement in social and political freedom over the last 400 years.

The standardized procedure depicted deals with the administration of chemotherapy to cancer patients in a manner that is in accordance with the CA State Medical Board and the Board of Nurses. In developing such standards, registered nurses are allowed the capacity to hone their administering skills and keep up to date on training and education. In addition, such a standard provides patients with the assurance that their care is being handled in a manner that is both respectful of their own case. In administering such drugs, nurses act in accordance with the standards at hand as well as in conjunction with the patient's physicians in order to ensure the best possible care and results.
