This paper is about diversity. There are basically two prompts, a case study on Tesco and a poorly written journal article. These are evaluated in the context of one another, and a fair bit of better academic evidence has been brought in to support the analysis of Tesco's strategy and offer the company recommendations.

The paper is based on the generational conflict within the hospitality industry and the challenges that bring up such conflicts. The paper looks at the characteristics of different generations that result in varying views of situations within the hospitality industry and in effect bringing up the challenges of these generations working together.

Pizer et.al went on to state show that 37 percent of the LGBT people have gone to experience workplace harassment during their time there. Furthermore, 12 percent of these people have also gone to lose their job only because of their sexual orientation. Furthermore, 47% of the people went on to state that they were discriminated against during the process of hiring, promotion or job retention only due to their gender orientation. This has become a social problem because discrimination carried out by employers leads to a mismatch between qualified workers and jobs that are suited for them. It is obvious that a decrease in productivity would go on to harm not only the businesses but also the workers and the economy.

Employee motivation is always determined by their level of motivation. This study has shown how managers of any organization can play the role of a coach with the aim of ensuring that employees perform their roles optimally. Being a coach requires the highest qualities of integrity, detachment, and empathy, coupled with the willingness to embrace fundamentally diverse approaches in the workforce.

Facebook, Inc. is a state-of-the-art social networking company that used an IPO commencing May 18, 2012 to raise $16 Billion on trading of 460 million shares. Due to alleged overvaluation of the stock, the price shot up to $45/share at opening bell but eventually sank to $38.23 at closing bell. Furthermore, the stock continued to sink until it was valued at $27.10 on June 6, 2012. As a result, investors lost billions of dollars and brought numerous lawsuits against the company and its underwriters. AVG is an IT security company that focuses on consumers. The company has enjoyed great success worldwide and has aggressively acquired numerous companies. Now the company is posed to use an IPO to raise capital. The question is whether this company will benefit more from the traditional IPO or nontraditional auction-based IPO. Learning from the nontraditional auction-based IPO experiences of Google and Morningstar, AVG should apparently choose the traditional IPO method. Though the traditional IPO is more complex and expensive, it provides several key advantages, such as: greater media coverage, which instills more confidence in potential investors; greater support from traditional, large investors, including investment banks and hedge funds, and it tends to raise greater capital from fewer investors. In any event, AVG should consider numerous internal and external success factors to determine whether it will use an IPO and which type of IPO is the most advantageous.
