About This Topic

Global warming remains one of the most widely-debated scientific issues of modern time, and global warming essays remain a favorite topic for students and professors, alike.  Global warming is a theory that states, not only that the earth is getting warmer, which is a demonstrable scientific fact, but also that this warming is the direct result of human activity releasing greater amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.  Although more than 97% of scientists support the theory of global warming, it is often treated in the political sphere as lacking support, with politicians playing on the fact that many people are unaware of what the word “theory” means when used in a scientific setting.  As a result, our global warming essays not only discuss the issue of global warming, but also frequently delve into issues such as the scientific definition of a theory or political motivations to deny or support climate change science.

Carbon tax in Australia: economic and environmental sustainability implications
The introduction of a carbon tax in Australia would have clear implications for economic and environmental sustainability. While in the long-term, the aim of such a tax seeks to promote environmental sustainability for Australia as a whole, in looking at the short-term, there appear clear implications for economic sustainability for a wide variety of businesses and households. One such area of business that seeks to be affected in both the short-term and the long-term in terms of the introduction of a carbon tax is the tourism and hospitality sector of the Australian economic market, which will likely take a major hit in terms of profitability and finance with the passing of the tax at hand.

Global economic, environmental and social pressures are driving the human race to search for a better alternative and renewable source of energy that is also more eco-friendly, reliable and sustainable. Many national governments have stated making energy policies with solar energy harnessing as the backbone of these policies. Nations are trying to escape the uncertainties that come with the fact that most fossil fuels have their deposit localized in particulars areas of the earth, a region that is filled with political tensions which affect mostly the supply of the fuels. The amount of pollution caused by these fossil fuels is a big concern that has made people more aware of the need to find a more environmentally friendly energy source.
