Their theory involving human rights and health as one of the foremost human rights is certainly convincing, proving that it is even more than a moral duty for the rich countries to help those in need, as it is their actual job to do so. Poor countries feel obliged to turn to debt in order to deal with poverty, but they do not realize that debt is one of the main factors influencing their state. Moreover, debt makes poverty more intense, as it lessens the probability that a poor country will ever emerge out of its condition.

The economic crisis currently experienced by the international public has only contributed to the poverty in Africa. It virtually made it possible for rich countries to find yet another reason to contradict debt relief.
Debt and poverty have a damaging effect on health and by doing nothing to assist poor countries in Africa, developed countries indirectly violate human rights. Health care is no longer controlled by the government in most poor countries, as it has privatized. With no money to make certain that their health is put first, poor people are discriminated on the basis of their social statute.
