Waiting Room Some Years Ago I Happened

¶ … waiting room some years ago I happened upon a National Geographic magazine with an article on some Caribbean island, but what most interested me were the fantastic photos of the beautiful island. Inside this magazine were images of pristine blue waters, beautiful beaches and jungles, and people that seemed to be living in paradise. Perhaps this is what first sparked my interest in photography and my dream of traveling the globe as a photographer. But great photographers are not simply made, it takes a great deal of hard work and education to become great. Therefore, if I am to reach my goal of becoming a photographer, I need to immerse myself in the primary education of such a field and am applying for admission to Kean University in the hopes of furthering my professional ambitions.

Education has always been very important to me, and something that has been supported by my family. I take my education very seriously, and have chosen to apply to a school with a great reputation like Kean University. If I am to accomplish my objective of becoming a photographer, I will need a proper education; which is the cornerstone of a successful career. With a degree in Fine Arts from Kean University, I not only can become proficient in the field of photography, but also receive a well-rounded education that can make me more knowledgeable, confident, and personable. This is why I am currently striving to achieve an education that can further my opportunities by attending Kean University.

With an education from Kean University I hope to pursue a career in photography and envision myself focusing on portrait and travel photography. I hope one day to see my photographs gracing the pages of prominent magazines like National Geographic, or other major travel-themed publications. I would also like to portray my vision of exotic places and people to the world, not only in publications but also in a studio under my personal direction. By operating a successful studio, perhaps specializing in portrait photography, I would have the means to periodically travel to exotic locations, like the Caribbean, and expose the world to the vision of beauty found in such places. In time, my studio could become a place where I pass on my photographic knowledge and experience through classes and internships to a new generation of artists.
