The stream can also capture automatic attention. The sensation and perception of an individual can hence be automatic without requiring the control of person. Therefore it is possible that some people are more sensing and perceiving if they have more active M. stream cells. The p stream is color sensitive and supports accurate motion detection of an object or the stimuli. The combned role of both reduce the time taken for motion detection and accurate and quick identification of the object that is shown
6. Design an experiment to test whether the parvocellular stream is sensitive to motion processing
1) What methods would you use?
The experiment to test the parvocellular stream or P. stream will have twenty participants that will be observed for response to color vision. They will have normal visual acuity and color vision as assessed. Stimuli will be generated by Mat lab software with Psych Toolbox routines to give stimuli to a Sony Trinitron E220 cathode ray tube monitor. The environment of the experiment will be dark and the participants will be half a meter apart from monitor. A cube with 64 squares in color cab be shown moving, as a stimuli, to find participant responses.
2) What do you expect to find?
Since parvocellular neurons color sensitive and can find details of object, I expect that the participants...
E-Marketing in Terms of Visual Communication Given the increased use of the Internet in past few years, e-marketing has had an indisputable progress within the past decade. Generally, daily activities and the variety of internet have created interest of consumers as many websites are creating virtual designs in order to strengthen their relations with customers. These developments have not only contributed to the creation of visual communications but have also
The findings presented by Snowden within his study Visual Attention to Color are extremely intriguing when one considers the history of research on M. stream/P stream activity and attentional guidance. As Snowden states in the Discussion section of his article, "the current finding appears to establish conditions under which a purely chromatic signal can automatically attract attention, and thus shows that color vision can play a vital role in the
Introduction For the purpose of noting buyer behavior, I visited a neighborhood grocery store named ‘Redner’s Warehouse’, one of a chain of popular outlets in my locality. One can find a couple of these outlets on the very same highway, attached to petrol pumps. I elected to observe the behavior of buyers along two aisles in the outlet: the baking and frozen vegetable aisles. Simply staring at buyers is weird and,
This work of art depicts a struggle between two ancestors, the Bungalung man and a Tingari man, the latter of whom was trespassing on sacred land (No author). The copious quantity of dots, particularly the white ones, evinces the full force of the elements invoked by the Bungalung Man to beat his opponent into submission. The power of the Bungalung man is evinced by the fact that he leaves
Secondly, that a positive correlation exists between the instruments CNSVS and the PMRC-Q and therefore improve road craft awareness. The alternative null research hypotheses are that: Firstly the intervention program did not produce any significant difference in the concentration levels of Police motorbike riders, and secondly that no positive correlation exists between the instruments CNSVS and the PMRC-Q. Therefore there is credence to suggest that a program of cognitive
Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam The Creation of Adam (1512) as conceived and depicted by Michelangelo represents a significant moment in art history because it brings a humanistic style of expression and sense of realism to the art world that had not existed prior. The work is focused almost exclusively on the Body as a subject. The two figures—God the Father and Adam—represent the majesty of the human anatomy in its ideal
