Three Responses To Discussions Chapter

¶ … bumper sticker "Republicans: We work hard so you won't have to" represents one of the polarized views in the political system in the U.S. today. The sticker represents a fairly narrow minded view of the political debate over things like taxes and benefits for lower income families. What many people do not realize, is that the entire economy is connect on many levels. The questions is not as simple as supporting someone through your taxes. For example, if your taxes are used to help struggling families, then they also spend more money in the economy which benefits the economy as a whole. Many people view the political system as one dimensional when in fact it is far more complex. The partisan picture of Obama smoking a cigarette is just another example of this. Discussion

With the passage of Citizens United and the introduction of big money into politics, most of the candidates have to cater to special interest groups to fund their political campaigns.
The second post shows a painted phrase on the streets of Seattle that reads "if you don't like the road you're walking start paving another one." This phrase is rather vague and could be interpreted from a variety of different perspectives. It tries to make a connection between this phrase and the state of politics although it's hard to follow. The post claims that the government "pockets" money which is difficult to believe.

The third post is critical of Donald Trump's campaign and uses the bumper sticker slogan "Obama you are fired" to begin the discussion.
