Summary of Research Proposal OR Research Proposal
You may embed your faculty approved research proposal in this application (as long as it contains ALL of the points below).
OR You may summarize your research proposal in several pages. The summary MUST address ALL of the following points and use the numbering system below.
Summarize the problem (or opportunity).
Energy has received considerable attention in the past few years because of the increased environmental impact of conventional sources of energy that rely on burning of fossil fuels. Research has shown (Remo, 2015) these conventional energy sources have contributed to global climate change, which continues to affect the world's ecosystems. Nuclear energy, which is energy in the nucleus or core of an atom, offers a suitable alternative source of energy that could help in dealing with the problem of global warming or climate change. However, the share of nuclear energy in the global energy mix has decreased at a time when it should be increasing as shown by global warming and climate changes. Therefore, the phenomenon of decreased nuclear energy usage is a problem that should be critically analyzed. It is important to examine what contributes to decreased nuclear energy usage when global warming and climate changes indicate an increased need to use nuclear power.
Summarize the purpose of your research.
A qualitative content analysis will be conducted to explore the phenomenon of decreased usage of nuclear energy at a time when global climate change indicates the need for increased usage of nuclear energy. The purpose of the proposed qualitative research study is to explore the phenomenon of decreased usage of nuclear energy despite its potential to solve global warming and climate changes. Through the study, the researcher...
