The Importance And Implementation Of Thesis

The Importance And Implementation Of Curriculum

I believe this curriculum to be one of the most important to teach
children at a young age. Just as the research has shown that children can
learn to love nature if their teachers love nature, I believe that, if
taught, children will learn how to act responsibly in nature at a very
young age (314). People always say that our children are the future, but
in today's world this has never been truer. It is up to the generations
that come after us to sustain and improve upon our understanding of the
environment and our connection to it.
In order to foster that connection, I plan to implement several of
these practices into my classroom. First, I plan to use the connections
activity, using string and index cards. This is a wonderful way to show
students how they are not only connected to nature, but also how they are
connected to each other and other people. By seeing this, children have a
better understanding of hour their actions can affect not only the
environment, but also other people around them. It fosters in them a sense
of responsibility and care for others.
In addition, I plan to use several of the activities that actually
take the children outdoors. In today's society, I feel that many parents
are reluctant to let children play outdoors because of safety or because
they don't want them to get dirty. This hinders their ability to get to
know and love nature. One of the activities that I will definitely
implement is the "What is the environment of creatures like" activity. I
think the children will enjoy getting down in the grass, and I also think
it will make them feel more familiar with their world. Children are often
frightened of nature-bugs, scary trees, night-because they do not know it
well. This will help them not only learn to understand nature, but also
learn to respect and love it.
Thus, I plan to restructure my teaching to encourage students to
learn more about the environment, not just in science lessons, but also in
understanding their life situation, world, and responsibility.

Boundaries for Children Rules and norms are an expected way of social living. They are predictable and part of our lives, and, therefore, we rarely stop to question their roots.
