Companies that do not choose to consider these options in their building design are losing out on some significant payouts from the government. They can also gain considerable tax incentives as well. However, there are still many companies in existence that refuse to jump on the wagon and realize the benefits of green design. This type of thinking demonstrates an antiquated philosophy regarding design work.
Conclusions
In recognition that the world must change its attitude and act in a way that will help to conserve our vital resources, the General Service Administration (GSA) has mandated that sustainable building techniques be used. According to these standards, the sustainable building will seek to Sustainable design principles include the ability to: optimize site potential, minimize non-renewable energy consumption, use environmentally preferable products, protect and conserve water, enhance indoor environmental quality, and optimize operational and maintenance practices. These government standards are a response to the responsibility that the government has in protecting its citizens from harm stemming from environmental degradation. Sustainable building design is responsible from a social standpoint.
Helmuth & Bicknese demonstrate concern for their fellow mankind in trying to preserve natural resources for future generations. They express concern for the community and for the world. In contrast, the Cumberland Design and Building Company appear to be self-serving and only concerned with the bottom line. Helmuth & Bicknese are the more responsible company, in this case.

Building Design Construction Methods and Collapse General building design and construction methods Contemporary building regulations are effective in ensuring the safety of occupants throughout the life cycle of the structure. Government agencies have the responsibility of inspection to ensure safety and enforcing compliance to regulations and codes during constructions. Building design and construction methods evolve in response to emerging trends and demands in the industry. Advancements within the design and construction industries
During the construction process, dead loads "can be accurately calculated," (Brannigan: 15). Yet, live loads are much harder to plan for. Carefully planning for the planning of these types of considerations in building design has been crucial. Recent fire codes have begun to implement live load constrictions. All of these elements can have an effect on the health of a structure during a disaster like a fire. Constructing smart means
