In her article, "Aftermath of Aftermath- Unanswered Questions from 9-11 -from an organizer's point-of-view" the military could have done more. In particular the author asserts that General Myers who controlled such military operations, couls have done more to prevent the attacks (Brouillet). Instead the general was awarded one of the highest military honors for his inaction prior to 9/11 (Brouillet). The author also explain that she organized rallies and showecd people a film entitled "The Great Deception" which was the first televised show that contradicted the claims that were being made by the mainstream media in the aftermath of 9/11.
Mark Dunlea is one of the most outspoken voices on the events of September 11 and the lack of cooperation from the Bush administration in reference to a bipartisan review of the terrorist attacks. Dunlea is a member of the Green Party of New York city. In fact, Mark Dunlea has written a book entitled "Madame President: The Unauthorized Biography of the First Green Party President" that offers an alternative history of September 11. The book creates a scenario in which the 2000 Presidential election is resolved by the Electoral College instead of the Supreme Court. In his scenario a member of the green party, Rachel Moreno is selected as vice-President as a substitution for giving the Democrats their ten electoral votes for president. Eventually the president dies in August 2001 and Rachel Moreno becomes president.
The book explores what Moreno would have done differently on September 11 if she was the president. In this scenario, one of the planes is shot down and the president immediately pursues Bin Laden. The book also asserts that such conflicts would be contained to terrorists and that the United States would not go to war with entire countries. The author asserts that the Green party president would always attempt to solve problems diplomatically. The book also explores further the perceived cover up propagated by the Bush administration.
The most well-known media associated with alternative history of September 11, is the Documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. The film is the most viewed documentary ever and has been seen throughout the world.
This particular documentary was produced by Michael Moore and sought to explore the events of 9/11 and their aftermath. Moore found that many of the aforementioned scenarios were true and that the president's reasons for entering into Iraq had nothing to do with September 11.
Within the documentary, Moore shows some of the warning signs that should have alerted the Bush administration that a terror attack was imminent. The documentary also demonstrated how ill prepared the country was to deal with such a catastrophe (Moore, 2003). The film demonstrates the time that lapse between when the president was told that a plan hit the World Trade Center and the time that he reacted to the news (Moore, 2003). The director demonstrated that the air traffic controllers were unaware of whom to contact in case of a hijacking. In addition, it illustrated that the appropriate agencies failed to scramble jets that could have shot the hijacked planes down before they demolished any more structures (Moore, 2003).
The director was able to show the lack of coordination between the intelligence agencies. In addition, it displayed the actions of the Bush administration in the months prior to the terrorist attacks (Moore, 2003). The documentary demonstrated the lack of concern that the administration had about the risk of a terrorist attack (Moore, 2003). The director asserted that all the intelligence information...
.. information or a confession, punishing him for an act he... has committed or is suspected of having committed, or intimidating or coercing him (qtd. "United Nations"). The effects of the Abu Gharib scandal, and the other interrogation concerns coming from Guantanamo Bay, led to the recently passed Military Commissions Act, which further clarifies the United States' position on the use of alternative interrogation methods and what is and is not

We are seeking to honor the lives lost in the attacks of 9/11 on New York City -- and on Washington, DC and the flight that ended in Shanksville, PA -- as well as during the attack on the World

It is the harsh reality of life in post-9/11 America that the global terror continues to exact a high toll on American lives and interests at home and abroad, and the terrorist agenda continues to include attacks in the future that may involve weapons of mass destruction. Furthermore, these types of diminutions of basic constitutional rights are not unique in American history, and President Lincoln suspended the writ of habeas
Rational choices are limited in this setting, and may merely consist of making the best of the worst available alternatives. The American public is becoming increasingly frustrated with national policymakers who seem to be firing global broadsides but are not able to hit anything. In fact, Butler even questions whether the war on terrorism is a struggle against Osama bin Laden, his Al Qaeda network, and a few similarly minded
