Self-Aware Of Their Eating Habits. Most Often Research Paper

¶ … self-aware of their eating habits. Most often changes in the diet are associated with changes in lifestyle, education, and social behavior. The Paleolithic diet is one of the things that influenced the eating habits since the 1970s onwards and is considered to represent the adaptability of the modern human to ancient eating habits. This diet is not only used for weight loss but also for changing the perspective on food and eating habits in general. For instance, part of the paleo diet is a well-balanced lifestyle based on increased workouts and lots of movement. The belief is that a diet based on ingredients that were used in the cave man era are valid for every day use if the life-style is similar to that especially with due consideration for exercise.

The diet is based mostly on the way of life the cave men had and on the hunters and gatherers society; hence, the main ingredients of the diet consist of fish, raw food, vegetables but at the same time exclude processed elements such as sugar or oil. This is largely because at that time there were no such ingredients. It is rather difficult to consider such a diet as applicable in today's world as a life style approach as well. In the Paleolithic, this type of diet was the only way they knew how to eat. Nowadays, the food market is filled with different types of ingredients and cooking mechanisms.

Another reason for which such a diet would be difficult to follow is related to the vast variety of types of diets, whether they are based on meat, vegetables, fish, raw food...

People have changed their way of life, have evolved and hence they have choices they can make. It is rather difficult to suggest to someone that enjoys fast food and mashed potatoes to adapt to raw food and vegetables. Despite its potentially positive aspects, this type of change can affect one's health status by changing to a type of alimentation that they are not used to. Therefore, there are not enough reasons for which regular people would be attracted to such a change.
2. Animals are known for having curative influences on people with disabilities or in need for medical attention. Monkey Helpers is one of the few organizations that deal with raising capuchin monkeys for assistance of the disabled. As with any type of animal assistance, there are certain ethical concerns related to the use of animals for this type of work. This approach cannot be viewed as positive or negative as there are no clear-cut beliefs on this matter. Indeed, it can be considered that animals have the right to live out in the wild in their natural environment and enjoy their natural habitat. At the same time though, the benefic effects animals have on children, whether they are wild or domestic, cannot be contested. There are countries in which stray dogs are used in Autism treatment of children. With the proper training and assistance for their medical veterinary needs, they proved to be very effective in positively influencing children suffering from autism. Other animals such as horses or dolphins have been trained to assist in similar situations.…
