Politics Heywood Describes A Number Term Paper

I think that men mostly run government, but to call states patriarchal seems too extreme for me. I believe that there will be more opportunities for women both in government and the private sector, and that this is a wiser and less volatile outlook than the more radical feminist ideas. I do not have a problem with women or minorities in government, and I believe the state should encourage and make way for more of this type of participation. As far as economic ideals are concerned, I believe a blend of the Minimalist and the Developmental state is the best alternative. I believe that capitalism is a good thing, but that wealth does not need to be distributed evenly, so I am not a fan of the socio-democratic state. I believe that government should be involved in social aspects of society, such as welfare and such, and that no intervention is not the way to manage these problems. These are too socialist for me, and too constraining for citizens.
Again, I do not think that a state can be any one of these, I believe it must be a blend to be the most effective and fair to the people and the operation of the state. Without the state, there would be chaos, so I do not believe in abandoning the state form of government that blends into a national government. I think states should have the first jurisdiction and say over its residents and its residents' rights, and that this form of government is still the best, even though it may have flaws. No state is perfect, and neither is one ideal or idea about states and how they operate. States should not be all-powerful, but they should not give up all operation to the national government, either. They must be a blend of ideals, ideologies, and political power to best serve their citizens and the nation at large.
