Do not overemphasize either the negative or the positive aspects of this decision, and be sure to be as up-front and truthful as possible in all discussions relating to this scenario. Keeping this advice in mind, will assist in the transition and be very helpful in calming the turbulent waters that are about to be stirred. The legal aspects of this entire situation must also be examined, and it would make very good sense, to have the legal department ascertain any company liabilities as progress is made in informing the employees.

The decision to outsource can have more of an affect on a company than just legally, ethically or morally. AccuCare has been a good, outstanding employer in Bradford for a number of decades and must not lose that identity. Approaching the employees in a forthright and honest manner will go a long way towards alleviating any bad feelings caused by this situation. Town-hall style meetings between management and employees are essential to containing the fallout and could affect any future recruiting as well. Future recruits must know that if the company does have to go through a situation such as this one, then at least they...

Again, most employees will understand the reasoning behind this type of decision, but just do not wish to feel as if they were being totally ignored. It is imperative that the company approach this with compassion and a caring attitude to identify problems and recommend general solutions and specific solutions to its employees.
