Many experts suspect that oceans flooded some regions and that rivers coursed through others. All of which supports the notion that life may once have flourished on the Red Planet (Cowen, 2002)."
The question is no longer whether or not oceans existed on Mars, but is now, where have they gone? There are several theories about what happened to the oceans including the possibility that they have gone underground or over a long period evaporated into the atmosphere.
The final piece of evidence regarding the existence of past oceans on Mars can be found in a study that reported an area near the northern plains indicating sediment that had to be caused by water. Scientists liken it to a bathtub ring in explaining how it points to a large standing body of water, most likely an ocean, was there at one time (Cowen, 2002).

In conclusion, both of these planets, which are closest to the Earth in miles, are a world away in their weather and atmosphere. Mars is a desert planet of extremes that can be exceedingly cold and enormously windy, while Venus is a planet covered in clouds and extremely hot. Both planets have several weather-related events that are quite similar to Earth, but there are shocking differences, as well. As scientists

Which of these two do you think was more prominent in Roman society? Argue for one over against the other. " Hamilton explains that while Continental Lithosphere is as much as 93 miles thick, the "Oceanic Lithosphere" is much thinner - up to perhaps six miles. Indeed, the oceanic crust makes up only 0.099% of earth's mass, according to Hamilton. Oceanic lithosphere is a product of the volcanic magma that pushes up to force tectonic plates aside. As new oceanic lithosphere is actually formed the heat that comes up with the
International Regulation of Tourism in Antarctica Since the mid-1980s, Antarctica has been an increasingly popular tourist destination, despite the relative danger of visiting the largest, least explored -- and arguably least understood -- continent on earth. Beginning with the 1959 treaty establishing Antarctica as an international zone free of claims of sovereignty by nation's that had been instrumental in establishing research stations there, there has been almost constant negotiation about how
