Judaism is not just a religion, it is a way of life where people come together as if they were immediate family. Furthermore, Jewish people believe that there is only one divine power that controls the whole world. "Judaism is a monotheistic religion which believes that the world was created by a single, all-knowing divinity, and that all things within that world were designed to have meaning and purpose as part of a divine order. According to the teachings of Judaism, God's will for human behavior was revealed to Moses and the Israelites at Mount Saini. The Torah, or commandments, which regulate how humans are to live their lives, were a gift from God so that they might live in according to His will (Basic Beliefs of Judaism). Therefore, Judaism is about coming together as one being with the divine power that is God.

When I go to Temple Anshe Sholom, it is apparent to me that the synagogue is a place for Jewish people like me to worship God and where we can hear the Torah being read while being in prayer. The synagogue is also known as House of Assembly, 'Beit ha Knesset' and House of Study, 'Beit ha Midrash'. However, this is unlike the Church, which only studies the New Testament. At this point, it can be interpreted that the authority of the Christian canon is a theological knowledge while the Old Testament has authority in good quality of its place in the canon. From visiting the place of worship, it will that clear that some parts of the Old Testament have greater importance.than do others" and not everything is "equally binding." When interviewing the rabbi, he referred to theory of John Bright. He stated that Bright believed that the Old Testament has been authoritative for Christian (Bright and Kelsey 1967).

From historical research it can be proven that the Old Testament exhibits this "structure" at every stage of its history and that it is the back bone Judaism. Furthermore, in its own terms the New Testament does too. Therefore, the unity of by reading from the New Testament "backward" into the Old Testament. Unfortunately, it is apparent that there is a serious ambiguity in the concept "structure of belief."

Along with that, when examining my religion, it was discovered that there was a Friday night service where they observed the Torah and the Old Testament. During this service, it is pointed out that the fruits of the earth are given by God. "For me, an important part of Judaism is acknowledging that the fruits of the earth are gifts from God. Hence, Judaism prescribes the recitation of blessings as a way to elevate the physical into the realm of the spiritual. Blessings are recited before and after eating, before enjoying aromas such as spices, upon seeing pleasing sights such as rainbows, etc. On Friday evening, as Jews welcome in their Sabbath (Shabbat in Hebrew), blessings are recited over candles, wine, bread, children and more" (Katz). I see Judaism is a religion that people come together as one to worship God.

For my family and I, the high holiday of Rosh HaShanah is where people are judged by God. Furthermore, it is a celebration of Jewish new year even though people are being judged for their actions from the previous year which determines their future for the upcoming year, which will be sealed on Yom Kippur.
