European Monarchy is one of the highly held positions and culture indeed within Europe. The Monarchy is watched by many across the world and the happenings and events around the royal family is a great interest to the entire world if the attention that the events like the marriage of Prince William and Kate as well as the attention the Diamond Jubilee received across the globe.

Europe has used the Monarchy not only as a royalty family but as a symbol of preservation of ther unique culture that has been in existence for decades upon decades. It is one of the strong cultures that are constitutionally enshrined within Europe and has helped it transcend time. It has its guide lines like the religion that the lady that the Prince marries must be from the Church of England and not a Jew, Muslim or Catholic. This has however raised political questions around the globe as to the discriminative nature of this particular rule and arguments that the monarchy remains then a preserve of some religion despite the existence of several other religions within Europe whose adherents respect and believe in the preservation of the monarchy as a way of life of Europe. Counter arguments have emerged that allowing women from other religions to get married to the prince would predispose the monarchy to change of religion and infiltration of the culture if, for instance, the prince marries a catholic and they decide to bring up their children the Catholic way, it means the heirs will be Catholic hence interrupting the royal family as a culture of the people of Europe. The civil society has strongly castigated the discrimination of other religions from the royal family and over the years changes have been made within the royal family but for this rule which remains a point of argument and focus for the civil society. The luxurious lifestyle that comes with the royalty and the prince playing no specified job buy of being a prince in the royalty has also proven to be very costly to the economy as noted by Conradi P. (2012). He indeed refers to it as "non-job of Prince of Wales and heir apparent."
