¶ … mission in life is to become an individual who is successful in business. I hope to learn enough about the financial world to find a place in it for my career. Ultimately, I want to be successful and obtain financial security.
My long-term goals are designed to help me achieve the future I have in mind for myself. In the next five years, I hope to graduate from college and perhaps go to graduate school. After that, I hope to find a position in a successful company where I can further my education and gain experience. Through my hard work and diligence, I want to advance in that corporation or move to a more renowned one. Eventually I want to start my own business. From there, I can develop that business and hire my own employees.
As for short-term goals, the ones I have set are designed to help me build the foundation so that I can hope to achieve my longer-term goals. In the next six months, I hope to pass my classes and move closer to graduation. By working hard, I want to improve my grades and accrue honors based on that hard work. I also hope to further my personal education in the field of business. I hope to work and gain experiences which I will be able to use later on. In addition, I hope to network and meet people who will be able to provide a benefit to me later on.
SWOT Analysis:
I have many strengths which will help me achieve my goals. I am an adept multi-tasker. In addition to this, I can speak four languages, including English, Indonesian, Thai, and Chinese. In a world which is becoming more and more connected, this will be a huge advantage. I also have experience already, working in the field of my choice.
As for weaknesses, I see that my presentation skills are lacking thus far. I also need to learn more about the basic theories and principles related to business which are important to make correct business decisions. Hopefully, both these weaknesses will be lessened by experience.
I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to attend university in the United States of America. Not only does this provide substantial educational benefits, but also the ability to network within my field. These relationships will help me to find a position later on after I graduate.
Potential threats to my success include losing my motivation or focus, such as with family problems, financial problems, or some unforeseen issue which might present itself. There are also threats in the form of distractions which might prevent me from excelling in my courses.
Strategic Statement:
My strategy to achieve my goals is to study hard in school. I will apply for internships and scholarships. I will study about organizations and companies to find a best-fit for me later on.
In the short-term, I will focus on my courses. I will put in effort to the materials. I will try to limit distractions from interfering with my success in my courses.
