Media plays an immensely significant role in shaping our views on diversity. For many people this film must have done a lot in terms of changing their thinking and making them more tolerant. American organizations are changing rapidly and this change had begun a long time ago. In this movie, John is a well established doctor which means even in those days, blacks had began entering institutions of higher education and subsequently major organizations.
