Letter to My Daughter

Grade Course

Dear (Name),

Having your beautiful picture right in front of me reminds me of the day when you were born. Finally the wait of several months was over when I experienced the finest blessing of my life. You were so fragile that at first I was scared to hold you. But just a single glimpse made you the inseparable part of me. I still recall the day when you smiled for the first time; it was a moment when it felt as if you had the power to lighten the whole world. Well, I can go on writing pages and pages about your childhood; the times when you fell, the moments when you used to cry urging me to fulfill your demands and the days when you used to get home all excited for receiving special appreciation from your teachers. All these experiences are still present in my mind because everything about you is a part of me. No matter how quick you jump from one part of your life to the other, you will always be my special dear princess whom I truly love.

To cut these emotional stories short, I would like to express my pride and contentment in your accomplishments, dreams and potentials which have ultimately aided you to this point. Well, like every other father who would be interested in talking and re-talking about their child's achievements and the satisfaction it brings, I am actually glad and I feel blessed for having a daughter like you. It might sound like a cliche to talk about how time flies, but it actually does. My little princess is a beautiful young girl who is out to live her well imagined reality.

While taking a look at my own life, I can easily recall the depressing times when I had to struggle with my academics, career and family. There are times when everything is messed up and there are days when things around you appear to be extraordinarily perfect. Well my love, the key over here is the fact that without the bad, nobody would realize the worth of good. Starting college might sound like a troublesome business because of the issues revolving around studies, love triangles, melodramas, backstabbing and obviously the weight-loss programs. But trust me, everyone deals with it and passes this stage; I did, your mum did and so will you. You just need to consider these issues as playing the side role in your story of success; bumps along the road whose absence would rather make your journey too simple and boring. In real, these hurdles would further strengthen you.
