Letter Persuading A Healthy Lifestyle Research Paper

Tobacco use is one of the most dangerous personal habits many Americans participate in on a daily basis. Here, the research suggests that "Cigarette smoking greatly increases your risk for heart disease," (Center for Disease Control and Prevention 1). Even worse, heavy alcohol consumption can be especially dangerous in terms of its links to many types of incredibly dangerous cancers (van Dam et al. 1). With more detailed knowledge of what your bad habits can do to you, are you ready to think of some changes? Your case is one which is in need for behavioral interventions. These are most often most effective within an integrated approach that addresses the many layers of your lifestyle (Strong et al. 5). First of all, there is a clear need for adjustments to your dietary practices to include more healthy options like fruits and vegetables (Center for Disease Control and Prevention 1). It is important to lay off the late night drive in runs, and choose healthier options to snack on. Healthier snacks will allow you to still enjoy more delicious foods that may have higher fat content, but only in moderation. Snacking healthily will help balance your nutrition, without taking all the fun from eating. Limited sodium intake is also important, and so laying off the salty snacks would be beneficial too. Making sure to manage your weight is also incredibly important (Center for Disease Control and Prevention 1). This means more activity! My advice, invest time in playing a sport with a team of local family or friends. Exercising regularly does not always have to be a chore, and it does...

Exercise can be fun, so take advantage of the number of sports and outdoors activities in order to ensure that you are getting the sufficient level of exercise you need. Moreover, you need to quit smoking! Smoking is one of the most unnecessary, and dangerous habits that you indulge in. Cutting out tobacco intake will greatly reduce later heart and lung complications. In regards to alcohol, moderation is key (Center for Disease Control and Prevention 1). If I have to show you a picture of a diseased liver, I will! Alcohol is not nearly as dangerous in moderation, and so if you focus on reducing its intake, rather than eliminating it entirely, you will definitely be thankful later. I care about your health and hope to see you live a long and happy life. So please, don't take my advice as nagging -- but look at the bigger picture.

Talents aren't things developed. One is born with talent -- a natural propensity for accuracy and efficiency in particular tasks. A knack for a certain intellectual task. Skills, on the other hand, are things learned, practiced, and known; they're the result of schooling, training, and experience. I believe that skills can be thought of, in a sense, as the theory behind reality. In other words, skills are most appropriately consolidated
