It is very clear to us all that not everyone can become a good manager. In order to gain employees' trust, motivate them and obtain successful results, one must possess certain innate qualities regarding work with people as well as high education in the working domain.

The innate qualities of a manager good manager must have strong interpersonal skills; he must be a good listener, he must be able to accept his employees' ideas and opinions but he also must know when to step in and state his point-of-view. A good manager must not be autocratic and he should encourage individual's creativity.

The manager has to be a born leader; he must be a good orator and have strong power of conviction, he must be able to persuade both employees and clients to work together for the same purpose.

A good leader must be a patient person and help everyone understand the tasks and the means of solving it as well as he has to be able to motivate his employees. A good manager has to possess the qualities of a good person: honesty, morals, loyalty and trust.

The learned skills of a manager

Considering the qualities he possesses as a person, the manager has to teach himself how to use them to become a living example for his workers. Aside from these, there are several other "technical" elements a manager has to acquire. Therefore, a good manager has to be acknowledged with the machines and the technological process involved. Moreover, the manager has to improve his communication skills, both written as well as oral. In the case of oral communication, the manager must send out a clear and concise message in a logical sequence of ideas. With written communication, the leader must prove impeccable grammar and spelling.

A good manager must be highly documented in regard with the task to be solved and offer his workers all the necessary resources and feed-backs.
