Jordan Crystal Over The Past Decade, Increasing Term Paper

Jordan Crystal Over the past decade, increasing numbers of students of all ages and backgrounds have enrolled in distance learning college programs through the Internet. However, not all individuals find distributed learning best for their life style and the most effective learning approach. This type of education is most appropriate for students who feel comfortable interacting with technology, have specific reasons for studying from home rather than in a traditional college setting, and are self-motivated and personally directed. My skills and background fit these special distance learning criteria.

Using the Internet in this day and age is an essential way of life for many people -- especially those attending college. Imagine how students used to do their research papers before! Although formal libraries still have considerable information of value, the Web makes learning much more time effective. During...

I feel fortunate having this educational tool available right in my house. In the past, I have thoroughly enjoyed several Internet classes. Recently, for example, I completed a course on Microsoft CGC 2100. I also have strong computer skills, and find it quite easy to repair or update my laptop when needed.
Computers are not my only skill. Outside of the area of academics, I also enjoy playing the piano, cooking international specialties for friends and family members and even training my dog, (name) new tricks.

Also, I always like learning something new. That's one of the reasons why I look forward to taking an online course in Liberal Studies at the University of Illinois, Springfield in the fall of 2006. This…

Also, I always like learning something new. That's one of the reasons why I look forward to taking an online course in Liberal Studies at the University of Illinois, Springfield in the fall of 2006. This degree will give me the opportunity to expand my knowledge, for both professional and personal purposes. For example, I have long wanted to know more about the history of other cultures such as ancient Rome, as well as have academic discussions with people who share my same interests. On the other hand, I do not want my whole academic career to revolve specifically around one subject area, such as history. Rather, I want to receive a well-rounded career about a range of topics such as politics, economics and the social and behavioral sciences. AB.A. In liberal arts at UI offers such experiences.

Internet courses have proven very convenient for my personal studying needs. I like being able to learn at my own time and pace. I understand that distance learning requires self-discipline and motivation. However, I have found through my past courses that not only do I have this ability to learn on my own, but truly appreciate it more than the traditional mode of study. There is something to be said about having the opportunity to chat with fellow students and discuss topics of interest with the instructors early in the morning, the middle of the night or on weekends. And, there is nothing better than getting into a pair of real relaxing pajamas and buckling down for a few hours of intense study in my home office with a nice hot cup of coffee!

I do agree that distance learning is not for every student. Given my interests, skills and desired mode of learning, distributed education is definitely the right avenue for me to pursue a college degree. I look forward to the spring when my studies begin.

There is a definite chance that both parties could resolve the prolonged conflict successfully if they find and act on ways to be in command of their shared lack of trust. Were such changes necessary? According to what Oelshlaeger explains in his book, it appears that much of these changes are interconnected.
