The influence on American society has for long been white. We need to outdo this notion and stretch ourselves outside the stereotypical imagination as part of preparation to move on to the next century. We need to put an end to the needless competition among different ethnic groups. To overthrow this black-white conflict we need to re-examine the same in view of exploring an elective strategy acceptable to all for getting rid of it. Moreover, the most recent expansion of racism has been due to the economic recession that followed the end of post world war boom in the early 1970s (Martinez) which restructured the capital as well as the division of labor; this resulted in feeling of insecurity and consequent search of scapegoats. Another cause of increased racism in the United States is the fear of white, of becoming weak and losing dominance in the coming century. This instead of uniting the people merely attempted bleach the American image overruling the colored race. Hence, each prevailing ethnicity and race in our society has dismally closed its door "in a defensive isolationist mode." The White-Black racism is in fact the sole architect of U.S. racism; therefore Intersectionality rooting from it must not be denied or ignored. It is believed that racism has evolved due to deliberate attempts of keeping the races from merging and accepting their differences in respectable manner. This as racism is an outcome of evolution; its cure likewise needs to be evolved as well. We need to move beyond black-white dualism that has served the foundation of White supremacy. But this issue needs to be addressed with utmost care and boldness since talking about such a sensitive issue is like an intellectual minefield, harboring three contradictions per observation. It is noted that one of the most astounding developments in the composition of U.S. population is the increasing ratio of Latinos. Latinos are younger than other ethnic groups present in our society. Today they are cruising on the American...
Alongside Latino intermarriages with other ethnicities is performing cultural balancing thus sustaining two cultures without losing any one of them. Such a merger is often referred to as acculturation. In this way while previous Hispanic generations traversed geographical borders, the modern Latinos are crossing cultural ones. They are steering an extraordinarily complicated web of relationships between their previous generations and the present as Nely Galan 35, President of Entertainment at the Spanish Language TV says: "For out parents, being a Latino was a negative in this country, for us it's a plus. We get to be 100% American when we want to be, but we can switch and say, 'Im not even American today; Im totally Latin. Im going to a Latin club, Im listening to Latin music and Im speaking Spanish.." It is thought that these people will not merge into the norms or be culturally dictated by the already set norms; in fact they have the ability to turn around and say "We are not going to make it your society. We want to make it on our own terms." (Martinez). Music on one hand has played a major role in the acculturation. The fusion of cultures via music has been a popular attempt blending Latino and Anglo evolving a new fusion and also defining its parent cultures' tinge. As Shakira 22 says: "We are made of fusion. It determines our identity: the way in one mouthful we take rice, platanos, meat and rice."Intersectionality can be defined as one of the most important feminist theory. It was developed and shaped in 1989 by Kimberle Crenshaw. The many relationships that seem to exist among many variations of the modalities and social relationships within the societies are dealt by Intersectionality. The theory works by examining the effects that various aspects of the society that include race, ethnicity, gender, identity, class, sexual orientation the relationships and
Gender-Based ViolenceIntroductionThere are a variety of factors that can contribute to why some belligerents in armed conflict are more likely to commit gender-based violence than others. One key factor is the level of social and political power held by women within the society. When women have fewer rights and are less able to participate in public life, they are more likely to be targets of gender-based violence. Another key factor

Representational Intersectionality Beyond Race: Persons of Mixed Races and Categories of “Otherness” in Feminist Studies Intersectionality is not simply a popular term in academia or a hot buzzword in the popular discourse. The term intersectionality was coined by
Intersectional Analysis The link between poverty and homelessness Capitalism Capitalism can perpetuate the divide between the haves and have-nots of society. An employer does not want to advance the personal enrichment of his or her employees. Rather, he or she wants to advance his or her own business.
