Information System Management-Prototyping Prototyping Journal Article Review

What surprised me about Prototyping in the article

Although the prototyping systems are presently becoming smaller and more affordable, they are still present additional expenses for most companies. There are some companies who select a prototyping strategy that is much cheaper than other systems. In the article, there are two main things that surprised me about prototyping.

One thing is that, not all prototypes implemented looks accurate. Most companies use prototyping in printing parts for their functional testing in prior to production. However despite of the advancement in technology, various prototyping systems cannot manage to create the design. However, prototyping is said to be a non- remedy for the problems that are associated with the system development.

The other thing that is surprising from the article of System Management with prototyping is that, prototyping is built out of the concept making the presented models in early stage to be incomplete. The reason is that, prototyping changes from time to time, therefore implementing and documenting...

This is because; there are various things changed as well as added for updating the prototype which has been proven to be difficult for documenting. Most developers also tend to create prototypes as they stick to them even if the prototypes implemented have flaws. One of the possibilities of a prototype to have a flaw is that, prototypes are not a complete software programs (Rick & Bill, 1994).
Conclusion

The use of prototyping has become widespread because prototypes increase the amount of communication between the developers as well as the end users. Presently, many organizations are using prototyping in developments of their projects hence reducing problems associated with the system development.

76). As automation increasingly assumes the more mundane and routine aspects of work of all types, Drucker was visionary in his assessment of how decisions would be made in the years to come. "In the future," said Drucker, "it was possible that all employment would be managerial in nature, and we would then have progressed from a society of labor to a society of management" (Witzel, p. 76). Third, subsystems engineers are more attuned to how their specific product and technology areas are driven by external market forces and market dynamics than system engineers typically are. The reason is that subsystem engineers, both hardware and software, seek to understand how customer and market needs impact their existing and future designs. As both of these classes of subsystem engineers are more focused on how to create valuable contributions
