President Obama has declared that the "cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation" and that "America's economic prosperity in the 21st century will depend on cybersecurity" (The White House, N.d.).

The importance of cyber security is paramount in the modern age. Cyberspace now touches almost every aspect of our daily lives. It is a major component of education, businesses, and the military. Vulnerabilities in this cyberspace can result in the loss of personal liberties, intellectual property theft, identity theft, and the loss of national security information.

Where do the threats lie?

How can this impact our lives?

What steps are currently being taken?

What will need to be done in the future to...

These attacks are not limited to large organizations and institutions; rather, these threats occur on many different levels including personal security.
