Human Computer Interface HCI Measurement Essay

The hedonistic values are responsible for the feeling of pleasure and displeasure while the arousal feelings are activated by sleep. In the study of affect, it became clear that its core characteristics are many. Some of the characteristics are valence which is the extent, to which an individual feels bad. Arousal, which is the sleep-activated value denoting to the extent to which one feels energized. Affects exists in each and every person without the need of any form of stimulus. Affects is a primitive aspect of every being and is noted to be university as well as ubiquitous. Affect is the center of all human laden events and called in various names as pointed out earlier. Evaluation survey

The next knowledge I acquired is how to conduct an evaluation survey. The main HCI concerns that I concentrated on are cognitive, physical, usefulness and affective paradigms. The survey enabled me to know more about the users of HCI, the usability of HCI, the beliefs that users have of IS, the user affective reactions that are elicited by IS and the opinions of the user as well as their suggestions on IS. The design principles as well as the guidelines for affective engineering became clearer to me. I also leant about the methodology for HCI Development Life Cycle.

Attributed affect is the change in any core affect that has a strong link to its perceived cause. This form of affect is defined by at least three features. These are; an object, attribution of the core affects itself to a given object. Mood on the other side is a prolonged core effect...

Feeling is a part of human emotion that makes part of the four parts of an emotion. Affective Quality (AQ) is the ability of an object to modify the core effects.
The least valuable lessons I learnt in this course

The least valuable lesson I leant in this course is how physical engineering can actually be realized in a real / day-to-day experience (for example in a laboratory). The concept of affective engineering also did not sink in well

What my take-away messages on this subject topic of HCI are.

My take way messages on the subject of HCI are;

1. The study of HCI is rapidly gaining prominence and applications in real world situations

2. HCI is very important in making the life of the disabled bearable

3. HCI is rapidly evolving with the introduction of better it technologies

4. Both human and machines are equally important in the field of HCI design

A user model is created with the help of this information and this model is in turn used as a basis for establishing the user interface adaptation. Task models have also been used for designing adaptive hypermedia. Different types of computer users can be associated with different task models. Task models are used to depict the activities that are to be performed from the user's point-of-view. (Jacko; Sears, 518) Adaptive

Emotions or feelings assume a fundamental part in our day-to-day social interactions (Scherer, 2003) and work as essential administrative and utilitarian capacities inside the body and mind, and emotions also encourage logical thinking and discernment. After thorough evaluation and assessment of hypotheses and methodology utilized in the field of emotional study, I considered different advantages and shortcomings in every one of them and decided upon an unbiased/neutral stance in my

Business transactions between independent business entities require the thoughtful integration of it systems, for example, as well as between a company and its customers, suppliers, or other business partners, such as co-producers and banks (Luftman). Consequently, effective system integration is important for both economic and strategic business reasons. In this regard, Luftman reports that, "External systems integration involves many technologies and business arrangements with different pros and cons, but they
