¶ … breakthroughs since the introduction of computers in our society is the development of network technology. Nowadays, almost all business and companies worldwide are implementing the state-of-the-art capabilities of computer networks.
What is a Network? A Network is a collection of computers connected to each other enabling communication between each terminal. Through wires, cables, and devices such as network hubs and switches, computer terminals can form a group of connection which we call network.
Network has 2 types of connection that is based on the location of the connected computers: the LAN, and the WAN. The LAN or Local Area Network is a connection of computers that are located in one same particular area, such as within a room or within a building. WAN or Wide Area Network, on the other hand, is a connection of computers capable of communicating in any location such as computers located in different cities or countries. One best example of WAN is the Internet.
A network provides easy access of information, reducing the need of traveling to a particular place just to do the traditional sending and retrieval of necessary information. A LAN for instance, allows employees of a company to access information from other departments, or communicate with other employees, through computer applications that communicate over a network.
Client and Server
When computers communicate over a network, regardless of the type of its connection whether a LAN or a WAN, the two important factors of networking is the Client and the Server.
In simple definition, the Client is the interface that makes a request while the Server is the interface that grants the Client's request.

). Such security should also preplan strategic responses to attacks associated with the network (Dawkins et al.). A book entitled "Surviving Security: How to Integrate People, Process, and Technology" explains that the rapid expansion networking and networking technologies necessitates greater security needs. The author asserts that parts of the network such as routers, switches and even network printers are vulnerable (Andress). The article further explains that the router or switch contained
Network Security: Past, Present and Future The work of Curtin (2007) states that a network is defined as "any set of interlinking lines resembling a net, a network of roads -- an interconnected system, a network of alliances." Quite simply a computer network is a system of computers that are interconnected. There are seven layers of communication types identified by the International Standards Organization (ISO) Open Systems Interconnect (OSI) Reference Model
networking and TCP/IP and internetworking. Also discussed are risk management, network threats, firewalls, and also more special purpose network devices. The paper will provide a better insight on the general aspects of security and also get a better understanding of how to be able to reduce and manage risk personally at the workplace and at home. In today's world, the Computer has become a common feature in any organization anywhere
Network dating sites. How type dating evolved . Include pros cons. Network dating sites have gained a particular place of social eminence within contemporary times. Network Design The process of gathering technical requirements for a network design project may differ from one organization to another, but the requirements themselves can be described using many of the concepts discussed in the lecture this week (i.e. Scalability, Availability, Network performance, Security, Manageability, and Affordability). Analyzing technical requirements for the customer is important in helping one best fulfill the customer's expectations. The various objectives that need to be fulfilled involve
