It is often said that in each man's endeavor entails an essential purpose. We set goals in order to guide us as we move along, amidst all of the obstacle and hindrances in the game of life. The perseverance to survive is brought forth by coherent motivation to achieve success. Directed by this basic principle, my goals are clear and my path is towards the realization of success.
To Penn State, I present myself, fuelled by my endeared passion to attain triumph and face the honors and glory as a part of the honor program of this commendable institution. My devotion for excellence is very evident in my student life. During my high school years I was a member of the National Juniors Honors Society. I was also an athletic scholar in three years for playing football, as well as a member of the track and field team. In college, I was able to make it to the NATIONAL DEANS LIST of 2003-2004, and making it again on the following year, 2004-2005. Also in the same year I was included on THE CHANCELORS LIST. Thereafter, each semester, my name repeatedly appeared in the dean's list during my stay at the Community College of Allegheny County. With the honors that I have received during this period, I eventually gained the confidence of Phi Theta Kappa (honors fraternity) at the Community College of Allegheny County, thus influencing to invite and include me as one of their members.
Motivated to expand the horizon of my knowledge, I transferred to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the fall semester of 2004. Here the fire kept on burning and with the positive aura of wisdom, I was also able to make it in the dean's list. From then on, my trail was clear and wide. With circumstances of great opportunities at my doorstep, I then transferred to Penn State Harrisburg. At this point in time, I handled the responsibilities as a Software Analyst in the Army National Guard. Consequently. I finished my first semester at Penn State with two "A minuses" and one "A." With my entire college grade factored in, cumulatively sums up to an overall average of 3.87.
Conclusively, Chi Gamma Iota Veteran!s Fraternity at Penn State Harrisburg offered me an opportunity to be admitted into the fraternity as a provisional member. My current membership status as provisional is due to the hectic schedule I am presently confronting.
At this present time, my job and my studies are in its parallel state, both working and attending class, full time. Multiple tasking is brought forth again by my determination, perseverance and motivation. I maintain that motivation is one of the most potent forces that help me to achieve my goals despite the obstacles.
It is with this attitude that I am able to manage and organize my time and schedule both at work and at my studies.
