History Of Adornment - Jewelry Term Paper

However, Cellini's story reads better than a novel He is the quintessential Renaissance man. Another weakness of the book is that the reader at times may find it difficult to understand much of the details relating to the alliances of Cellini's Italy and especially difficult for those to follow who doesn't know much about the Renaissance. In addition, he seemed to be a little arrogant on occasion. However, one should not mistake of taking Cellini's book as painting a portrait of his times, as none can be so much in love with himself, as he is in the subject of this book.

In addition, the reader at the initial stage of the book may believe at times that the writer has been wronged innumerable times by the most slippery types of people. While, by the middle of the book, it emerges on the reader that Cellini must have played some part in making the bad luck and danger that he is continuously in.

Furthermore, Cellini's writing reminds vivid images of the places and people that he met during his life....

One of which was the most interesting story of his imprisonment and later escape from the Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome. His escape from the place was an amalgamation of traditional methods and terrible misfortune.
Every tale has focused on how he has created his artworks in the service of some nobleman, and how the nobleman is amazed always at the work, or how Cellini is then cheated by someone he was nice to. To conclude, it can be stated that the book is a wonderful read that offers brilliant insights.
