¶ … ethics within the educational system is a very tricky path to navigate due to the consistent stream of variable behavior from numerous sources. As an administrator, it is important to realize that no matter what decision is made, there will always be some opposition to that stance. Therefore it is important to satisfy my own personal ethical agenda before adopting anyone else's. When dealing with issues it is important that I keep focused on what I believe to be right within my own guidance and values. Improving on this self-awareness and ability to stand strong when things get tough, will provide me the strength needed to sustain ethical battles. As a rule of thumb ethical issues will be dealt with quickly, openly and with reason and balance in order to fairly determine the right outcome in these types of situations. Journal

School leaders can use their budgets as guiding and leadership tools to help steer the proverbial ship and provide beacons of direction in absence of more clear orders or objectives. Managing resources, financial and otherwise, requires discipline and a clear vision of the future direction of the school organization. School leaders must become familiar with the important members of the community who can help in providing resources and rapport building with these individuals can do much in way of helping a strong and flexible budget. For me, I need to learn more about the time value of money and to find new ways for money to work for the organization with minimal effort or direction.
