If a particular piece of research is done in an unethical way or has a hidden agenda to it then the ramifications of this could be very widespread.
Research must be designed and carried out so that it is as accurate as possible. Many times there are important things in people's lives that hinder on how a particular research study turns out. Another big implication is that particularly with educational research, there is usually a major university or institution that is sponsoring the research. If research is done poorly or with any major flaws then this ends up reflecting upon whoever sponsored it. This is one thing that these institutions and universities do not want to happen as it ends up doing damage to their reputations. A school with a bad reputation will have a hard time getting students to attend. They also often find it hard to get funding from outside sources for research if they have a bad reputation for the quality of their research.
A big implication with research that is conducted with a hidden agenda usually ends up being very narrow in scope and often does not result in anything that is of any use to a lot of people. This kind of research does not benefit a lot of people and many times ends up doing more damage than it does good in the end. It is very hard to build upon quality research if there was no quality research done in the first place. This is why the field of research and especially that of educational research is coming under a lot of scrutiny and thus being subjected to many new rules and regulations.

Ethics in Research For organizations of all types, the last three decades have been crucial in changing the manner in which organizations interact with each other, stakeholders, the government, and themselves. Most of these changes occurred because of the evolution of globalization, which after the Cold War, increased cooperation between nations and regions while, at the same time, increased stakeholder expectations, opened hundreds of new markets, and now requires that organizations
When ordinary 'beat cops' act unethically, it immediately garners negative media attention because it affects the public in such a visceral and immediate fashion. Police officers are the average citizen's main source of contact with the justice system and so they are carefully watched. However, prosecutors may decide to proceed with a prosecution despite questionable evidence or act unethically in other ways, and unless it comes to the media's
EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION Education Administration: Ethics of ResearchThe use of ethics in research has been carried out for a long time. Informed consent is one of the ley concerns in research ethics, dating back to 1946. The Nuremberg Code was formulated in 1948, making it mandatory for the human participants to give informed consent after the German military conducted several medical experiments on soldiers kept as prisoners without their consent (University
Problem Statement Dual credit (dual enrolment) programs have met with tremendous success in the state of Hawaii and elsewhere. These programs, which include GEAR UP, Running Start, and Early College, allow students at high school level to attain college credit, thereby easing the financial burden they will face in university. Moreover, the dual credit programs have also increased college enrollment rates among Hawaii students (Inefuku, 2017). Not only do Dual Credit
Negotiating There is an art and a science to research. Indeed, that would be the focus of the first assignment and discussion for this class. One of the primary challenges when it comes to research is gaining the necessary access to the participants. There are ethics and considerations for both the studiers and the studied. This initial discussion post will address all the above. While it would be optimal in many
The ethics of research conducted on human subjects has been debated for almost a century. Studies like the Tuskegee syphilis experiment and other gross violations of ethical principles have called attention to the importance of rigorous standards in the social sciences. Education is not always considered a social science, and yet it is—and one with some of the most significant implications for humanity. As Lopez-Alvarado (2017) points out, education is
