Joe Wright's 2005 motion picture "Pride and Prejudice" involves a series of elements related to ideas like family, faithfulness, and marriage. By presenting the central characters as individuals who struggle to remove social status boundaries, the film makes it possible for viewers to gain a more complex understanding of thinking during the late eighteenth century. Elizabeth Bennet is the film's protagonist and by looking at matters from her perspective viewers are able to learn more about her surrounding environment and about the feelings present in a society that promotes a strict set of legislations that are focused both on rational and on moral ideas.
Elizabeth Bennet is a very complex character and it is actually intriguing how her intellect virtually pushes individuals who are unable to adapt on a social level to the limits of her community. Her thinking was shared by a great deal of individuals during the era and the masses were not necessarily supportive with regard to conventional feeling. Furthermore, Wright introduces a series of elements that are characteristic to romanticism, thus making it seem that the late eighteenth century society was filled with dreamers and with individuals who were generally inclined to prioritize matters related to love (Grandi, 2008).
It appears that Wright focused on positioning this film in a feminist context. His take on eroticism apparently wants to influence viewers to consider that there is…
