¶ … desire is to continue my education into my chosen field of study. I hope to obtain a Master of Fine Art, and my main wish is to study ceramics. Ever since I was young I have always enjoyed being creative. I like to write and draw, but my deepest and most profound enjoyment comes from working with ceramics. I have spent a great deal of time over the years creating many beautiful ceramic works, and although it is very fulfilling, I have not taken my educational limitations to the fullest extent. Because of this, I feel as though there is something missing from my life. I believe that by completing the Master of Fine Art program I will no longer feel as though a piece of my internal puzzle is missing. I have completed sufficient undergraduate credit hours to enroll in this program, and I believe that my abilities also indicate my desire to obtain this graduate degree. I have received many compliments from various professors as well as other students...

I do not brag about these compliments, but they are deeply appreciated because they show me that I am not the only person who believes that my work has value and merit.
By obtaining a Master of Fine Art degree, I hope to learn a great deal more about artwork in general, but most specifically about ceramics. I feel I have learned a great deal already, but there's always more that someone can learn if they truly want to. I have the desire and the motivation to succeed in this degree program, and I also have the skill and ability to demonstrate to my instructors that I am serious about this graduate degree.

A realize that many graduate programs that offer degrees in Fine Art require a great deal of independent study. I am prepared for this challenge, as I work equally well alone or with a group. I do not procrastinate, and I tend to take mistakes and difficulties in stride and find a way…
