The results of the sensitivity analysis as being revealed in Table 1 show that Amtrak Rail will be able to achieve a fueling and servicing with less than 2.2% increase in the locomotive routing cost. Moreover, the company will be able to achieve a 100% fueling and servicing routing friendly, which will make the company to save several million of dollars yearly thereby assisting the company to enjoy profitability at the end of each fiscal year.

V: Conclusion

Amtrak Train is one of the biggest Rail companies in the United States and managed by the U.S. government. However, the company records yearly net income loss despite the yearly grants that the company enjoys from the federal government....

This project attempts to solve the problem facing Amtrak Rail. The project formulates the problems facing Amtrak Rail using mathematical model such as linear programming and integer programming. The results of the mathematical models have been able to provide optimal solutions to the Amtrak Rail problems. The optimal solutions reveal that Amtrak management needs to integrate operation research model into the planning to save millions of dollars from the costs of operations and thereby enjoy profitability at the end of the fiscal year.

To provide the number of constraints and variables, the paper provides the study of Amtrak rail system between Delaware, and New Jersey. The entire datasets held with the 99 trains are 42 tracks and 43 nodes. The datasets gives a problem of 220,000 variables and 380,000 constraints. With available constraints and variables, the paper uses all possibilities to solve the problems using the algorithms. To arrive at the solution to

Your motivation The motivation that makes the researcher to investigate this problem is to assist Amtrak to cut costs to generate yearly profitability. It is essential to realize that the government is funding a business that is not generating profits due to the inefficiency of the company management. The annual grant giving to the company is the taxpayer money that needs to be diverted into other useful venture. The Amtrak Company

These dynamics suggest sample means may indicate questionable results without further testing to verify if skew distorts generalizability. There are plausible cases where such an extreme value would be kept, say if we were testing for risk of a rare event, in which case that would be the data point of interest compared to the rest. consumption of a carbohydrate performance drink increase 400m sprint times? Carbohydrate loading was found to be beneficial for endurance sports in the late 1990s. Research has demonstrated that consuming high amounts of carbohydrates, combined with low training levels for several days before an event can help to improve performance (Wade, 2008). Since that time, issues have arisen as to which types of carbohydrates are best, which proteins are a factor,

PARTICIPANT SELECTION & SAMPLING PROCEDURES Media Psychology I will select my sample by first reviewing statistics about reality television programming. I want to find how about programs categorized as "reality television" in the United States of America. I want to know how many shows qualify as reality television. I want to know who the targeted audiences are for the programs. I want to determine the age range of intended viewers/demographics. My

Team Process Selection: Setting SMART goals and avoiding social loafing For the purpose of this paper, I agreed to volunteer on a local committee designed to reduce childhood obesity in our immediate area. As is the case with many communities, the increasing BMI of children due to unhealthy food consumption and a lack of places to exercise are of great concern, especially to parents of elementary and middle school-age children. The committee
