In high school, a specific group of students will more or less remain acquainted with each other, as the school expects the same students to continue each high school year in the same school. College, however, is more fluid: college students attend different classes, get to meet students from different courses, and it is highly likely that these interactions would last for a semester only, until the course ends. The pursuit for knowledge is also another salient difference between high school and college. High school encourages students to learn about a vast number of subjects, primarily so that students will know their strengths and weakness as learners.
