College Admission On Why I Have Chosen Term Paper

¶ … College Admission on Why I Have Chosen to Become a Physician Assistant

The reason I have chosen to become a physician's assistant is based on my desire to be a part of the medical community. I have always had great respect for those who chose to dedicate their lives to helping others, whatever their field of career. However, the medical community holds a strong attraction for me because it is ever changing with new treatments and innovative techniques discovered almost daily.

My family instilled in me the value of an education and the sense of duty to service that we each owe society.

Knowledge is the one thing that cannot be taken from you and service to society is the responsibility we each carry.

Moreover, I am also aware of the value of persistence and dedication to overcoming challenges and obstacles. I have learned to achieve my goals in life by fully applying myself and meeting each challenge and roadblock with determination and persistence.

I have had worked several part-time jobs during and after high school. By observing my co-workers, I realized the necessity of education in a chosen field to not only feel fulfilled in life but to serve society at one's best. It appears that many people allow life to guide them rather than steering their own course to a desired destination.

As a physician assistant, I will be fulfilling my career goals to work in my chosen field. Moreover, I will be fulfilling my obligation to serve and give back to the community in which I live. Medicine is a broad and challenging field allowing for varied skills. Limitations are determined only by one's efforts. I have always met each challenge in life as an opportunity to experience and create and I have achieved my goals with dedication. I am certain that I will succeed in meeting each challenge ahead with determination and persistence.
