¶ … clarity of purpose, research questions or hypothesis were solid and well researched. The strength of the literature review was its focus upon multidisciplinary studies. Unfortunately, it suffered from a lack of complete. The strength of the sampling regime was its focus. Its weakness was the small size of the statistical sample. The wait control feature enhanced ethical considerations. The random assignment of patients enhanced the baseline measurement instruments. Reliability and validity of the measurement instruments in the study in the opinion of this author compromises the application of the data to a wider setting, although it did help focus. The data collection process was strong due to its use of the wait control group. Unfortunately, this reduced the number of participants in the Breast Cancer Education Intervention (BCEI) study
The threats to external and internal validity surround the small population size (256) patients. This tended in this author's opinion to negate much of the randomness of the studies due to simple probability. In addition, this compromises to some extent the BCEI studies findings and conclusions which would have been much more enhanced by a larger sample study population
The findings cam be made widely general across the nursing spectrum, but could be limited to those patients covered by adequate medical insurance. The applicability of findings to practice in nursing...
(Niglas, 2004) Stated to be research questions that should guide the empirical study design are those as follows: (1) How have quantitative and qualitative elements been related? What type of combined designs have been sued? What is the level of integration between qualitative and quantitative aspects of studies? (2) Why have the authors chosen to prefer multimethod or mixed design to monomethod approach? Do they offer a rationale for their choice? What
Research Caveat - Research surrounding undocumented workers can often be problematic and unreliable. Primarily this is due to the nature of the subject matter -- individual on both sides of the issue are unwilling to talk because of the volaltility of the subject, language barriers, legal issues, access issues, fear of anything that even remotely feels governmental, and the validity of responses. Briefly, we can view these issues and the
Complexities and Simplicities of Research Whether an academic or a working professional, research is often the primary objective of one's daily activity. Research not only imparts knowledge, but also allows one to understand how things work better, whether complex or simple, and present this information to bosses, professors, etc. thereby allowing these individuals to also broaden their knowledge and move the world forward. Research is thus very important. This paper
The third position means stepping outside the situation and seeing issues from the point-of-view of a third party. NLP reminds us that people receive information in various sensory channels: the visual, the auditory, the kinaesthetic (perception of movement of effort) and the digital mathematical or reasoned thinking (Taylor, 2000). The idea being that people use all of these modes, but may have a preferred mode. Ethnographic approach: this takes its
Note: correlations do not indicate cause. Changes in style of offline media, if apparent, may be due to any number, or composite, of factors. In order to encourage people to answer, question will be minimal. I will use a Likert scale with some questions being open-ended and others being closed. I would also pilot survey on a reflective population sample beforehand in order to ensure understanding, clarity, and relevance of
healthcare environment, Palese et al. (2011) argue there is no effective data to support that patients' satisfaction is correlated with a nursing care. Moreover, there is evidence revealing uncertainty in the nursing care environment since there is lack of identification of caring consequences. While the patient's satisfaction has been linked with nurses' caring behaviors, however, there is no empirical evidence to support "the effect of caring on patient's satisfaction."
