Project Overview Information Sheet

In order to accomplish the task-at-hand, specifically the remodeling of the CEO office for the purpose of meeting projections and to include the ability to connect to the laptop computer for various projections, there are various applications to take into consideration. It has been communicated that specifically needed will be a HD TV between the size of 36 and 38 inches and as well a surround sound system is desired.

Additionally needed in order to accomplish this project will be a stereo system and a DVD player for viewing movies. It has been under consideration that a gaming system would be desirable. The planning for this project has resulted in acknowledging the need for the ability of the CEO to interface from the central desk, which is envisioned to be located in the room's center to enabled the CEO to make laptop presentations from that location.

Enabling the CEO to do so will require wireless connection. This might entail the use of RG Ethernet cable as well. The project proposal in the following pages serves to inform as to needed purchases to enable the proposed system. Included are price approximations for hardware and software applications including wireless routing.

II. PROPOSAL for SYSTEM INSTALL

The television that has been considered for this project is the Norcent LT-3751 37" LCD HDTV. This TV has built in HTSC, ATSC and QAM tuners. The built in ATSC tuner allowed for receiving HDTV programming without the need to purchase a separate receiver. The resolution of this TV is 1366X768 which allows "bright clear images..." (www.buy.com,2007) the horizontal and vertical viewing angle is 176 degrees providing a clear picture for nearly all in the room. The features of this TV are listed as follows:

As stated, in the preceding section of this project proposal information sheet, the central desk, oval in shape will be enabled by wireless connections to the television in viewing projects presentations or other media from the CEO's laptop computer. This is to be enabled through use of the Media Center PC Universal Remote Control and Compact Keyboard Suite and its integrated keyboard and remote control system. This system, while taking a 'little getting used to' (CNET, 2007) will allow for theater presentations from the laptop PC. The cost for this system is approximately $200.00. In order to enable video productions directly from the CEO's laptop proposed is the purchase of FlyImage5000. This purchase will enable wireless computer to TV connection for the purpose of displaying computer presentations, online video presentations, video conferencing, multimedia education, as well as, if needed in the future, multiple TV reception of any AV signal from a PC, DVD player, satellite receiver and set-top box.
