Butterfly Garden About 150 Years Term Paper

I took this idea to the science committee and the endorsed it. We approached the Parent Teacher's Organization with a presentation for funds. They gave us the money from a school fundraiser, which provided most of the costs. This was a great community effort, where everyone is chipping in to see what they can do for the school. The local high school built the gazebo and got the "go ahead" from one of a husband of one of the teachers to do the brick work for a butterfly garden. One of the science committee members received a $500 grant to assist with the garden.

A contacted the contractors, scheduled work days, helped with the fundraising and kept interest high as we moved along with the project. The rest of the committee members have also done a great deal of work to make this program successful. Although...

It will be something that the committee members can point to as being something that will make the children's school years much more knowledgeable and meaningful. It is also something that everyone can point to as a perfect example of what can be done for a small amount of money but a lot of people pitching in and helping out.
The original goal of this butterfly garden was as an enhancement to the math and science curriculum. However, I am sure that we will see that the advantages are so much greater. To design the garden, we will need to encorporate research, writing, planning and measurement. Once it is in, the garden can be used in every aspect of learning, including social studies, language arts, art and music.
