The methodology of incorporating information on the archeological findings of the Aztec people into his book was a smart one on the part of Smith (2003), who brings a lot of great information to light. Some of it is found in other books on the subject, certainly, but that does not take away from its value, as Smith's (2003) book is not simply a rehash of everything that has already been said. It is more descriptive than that, and more philosophical in some ways. Overall, Smith (2003) has a great deal to contribute to the field of Aztec history.
