Armenian Culture One Of The Term Paper

He continued his education and got his doctorate in Near Eastern studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His dissertation, the Sanjak of Alexandretta: A Study in Franco-Turo-Syrian Relations, is the standard in its field. He was selected to the faculty at Harvard, as the first full-time professor of Armenian studies in America during the period 1957-1965. From 1965 onward till the end of his active career, he spent at UCLA as professor of Armenian language and literature.
