Analyzing Your Personal Characteristics Admission Essay

Personal Characteristics Professions refer to a calling requiring special skills, preparation, and knowledge. They are occupations that stem from societal special service needs. The discipline of nursing is a science and an art that involves healthcare delivery to the society. This valuable, service-oriented profession aims at maintaining people's well-being and health (NursingCrib, 2007).

Personal Characteristics

Personal characteristics are crucial in our day-to-day interactions with other people and with our surrounding environment. These characteristics define the type of people we are and our ability of communicating with fellow human beings. Hence, one's perception of self and others' perceptions of one play a central role in the determination of personal characteristics.

Generally, my family, friends and associates claim I am a pleasant, kind, and polite person, capable of making others laugh, irrespective of my own moods and feelings. Further, I am considered an empathetic individual who endeavors to aid people in need, regardless of how simple that need may be (for instance, I give lonely people company). I value my personal relationships with kith and kin, as well as professional relationships. At any cost, I endeavor to avoid confrontation, but will readily accept my mistakes....

Personally, I feel I pay a patient ear to people, though I can be rather talkative among like-minded individuals. I possess sound communication skills that have facilitated my hobby of learning new languages. This hobby enables me to comprehend people's communication in their native languages and the way they express emotions like happiness, excitement, irritation, anger, misery, etc. Organization is my obsession; I have to make sure all things are in order, as this helps me plan for the next successful and constructive workday/week.
Significant Experience or Achievement

My most significant work experience was volunteering for a children's home. The short period of time I devoted to it with faculty, subordinate staff, and kids gave me a purpose, for myself as well as other, less-fortunate humans. In the course of this volunteer initiative, I was assigned various duties. In the role of educator, I discovered new things about individual students every single day. Some pupils were unable to sit attentive in class. However, their interest and talents lay in the fields of sports or drawing and using these, they could continue their education, with the aid of sponsors.
