Apple's recent technological advancement propelled the company into the group of the most profitable institutions ever. The fact that the organization expanded its focus to incorporate the mobile market played an important role in making it possible for it to market its products to a much wider audience. The fact that Apple have traditionally used their products as a means to get customers to stay with them when considering future purchases is also supported by the organization's involvement in the mobile market. Apple's value is largely owed to the combination of its sub-brands, taking into account that each of the 'i' products contributes to the company's overall success.

Technological know-how plays an essential role in assisting the company maintain its position as one of the most successful companies today. Apple's success is a result of a series of ideas coming together, "a philosophy built on the three i's of innovation, intuition, and individualism." (Pont 55) In addition to selling technological advanced products, Apple also concentrated on providing their customers with the feeling that these respective products would make them more unique. From Apple's art directors to the company's it department, every person working for the institution feels that it is his or her job to play a creative and productive role in assisting the company experience success.

3. Materials technology is an essential concept when considering Apple's goods and services, taking into account that the company invests large amounts of money in trying to use new and more effective materials. When considering the fact that Apple's products (its mobile products, in particular) use revolutionary materials that increase their durability and that generally make them more efficient both for the company and for consumers, it seems natural to praise the institution for how it employs strategies that are beneficial for society as a whole.

4. The organization's level of technical complexity is particularly high and it uses a wide range of technologically advanced devices. However, while most people might be inclined to think of Apple factories as a place filled with robots where humans simply manage the production process by reading dials and providing solutions for diverse problems that might appear, the reality is that most Apple factories focus on increasing the company's overall profits by using cheap labor in underdeveloped or developing countries. It is actually cheaper for the company to pay workers in countries like China than it is to purchase, design, or operate machines.

Apple factories practically work as assembly lines with people and machines working together in delivering the final products. Mass-production is an essential element in the company's general success because of its effectiveness.

5. Routine generally dominates working in Apple factories, as workers have standardized schedules and as they are expected to act in agreement with a set of regulations in order to maintain efficiency in the company. The fact that the company provides workers with the opportunity to gain a complex understanding of their roles prevents them from coming across problematic situations.

6. Sequential interdependence dominates relations between people and departments at Apple. Assembly lines are an important concept within the company and workers practically have to make sure that products go through a series of stages before they are ready to be sold. Even with the fact that products are created in a process involving sequential interdependence, it is only safe to say that reciprocal interdependence is also an important concept in this company. The fact that all branches of the company need to work together in creating products that are unique means that they have to be in constant contact with each-other. Advertising directors thus have to cooperate with factories in making certain that the company provides consumers with products that they expect to buy.

7. Apple has both an organic and a mechanistic structure. However, it is focused on the organic part, taking into consideration that it supports the idea of team work and that intellect plays an essential purpose in making the difference between a person who is promoted and one who has the same position in the company over a longer period of time. The organization promotes informal thinking largely because this is the image with which it markets its products to the public.
