The learning process ought to support learners, ensuring that they not only become successful but also responsible and contributing members of the society. It also ought to ensure that learners reach their full potential -- from an academic, professional, as well as personal perspective. I seek admission for a Master's of Education degree, with a concentration in Community Agency Counseling. I intend to execute my professional duties in a non-school setting. I believe that everybody deserves a second chance -- an opportunity to aim after missing the mark the first time. Life has given me plenty of second chances. Looking back, I have failed countless times -- be it in meeting my educational goals or in meeting other personal goals and objectives. All this time, however, I have always had an opportunity to try once more. I do not see any reason someone else should be denied such an opportunity. It is for this reason that I would like to work in a community counseling setting -- specifically, in a correctional institution setting.
